It's another day! Which means another day for a blog challenge. Today, I'm going to be showing you what's on my iPad mini. I use it a lot (it's my on-the-go computer) for many various tasks such as, watching YouTube, typing notes, putting reminders for myself, listening to music, reading, etc.
This is my lovely iPad Mini! I got the case and pen from ebay.
This is what my home screen looks like. Isn't the background picture cute? I found it on tumblr and I thought it was so me because I love pocky and anime a lot. One noteworthy thing is the app by the calender app called, "Errands". It's a great app for creating lists and organizing tasks that need to be done. I recommend it!
This is what the second slide of my home screen looks like. As you can see, I like to keep my apps organized. It's funny because I actually didn't know that you could drag apps into folders until my friend showed it to me about...two or so years ago. Now, I'm all about organization. I actually cringe when I look at other people's apple devices and see their apps all scattered throughout millions of slides.
I guess I should explain my organization. I'll start from the top most left corner. My Art comprises of things that make my photos look better (Line Camera, InstaCollage, PicCollage) and I have a paid version of Art Studio, for if I ever want to draw on my iPad mini.
Next I have my Social apps which are Google+, Twitter (follow me @tennisbunnyrox; I'm hilarious), WattPad (which I rarely even use BUT once I start planning my original story/ies out, I will definitely post something. Again, my username is also tennisbunnyrox. I will definitely update my blog to say when I'm actually posting stuff on there haha.) Followed by YouTube, which I'm also tennisbunnyrox on there, but I don't make videos. xD I hope to in the future but now, I feel like I'm not "ready" yet. After that is Tumblr, which is a freaking, majestic haven. I am also tennisbunnyrox on there. Check out my tumblr yo! I mostly reblog stuff on there about anime, manga, fashion, puns, things I find funny, sometimes book-related things, etc! So yeah, this post has pretty much become me promoting myself. #noshame
And lastly, in my Social folder, is Anime Amino. I feel like not a lot of people know about this app but basically, it's filled with Anime/Manga nerds and posts about anime/manga nerdy things. There is a location provider, which is a bit creepy but I guess it's supposed to help people meet others in their area that have their similar anime interests. It doesn't display your exact location of course (just the general city/surrounding cities). When I turned my location "on", it displayed different towns for my location everytime I posted something but it was the same general area. So still pretty safe, imo. You can make collections about your favorite animes (by compiling photos of it, favorite quotes, thoughts, etc.) and look at what other people are posting too. Tl; dr, Anime Amino is a great app for anime/manga lovers, so if you have an iPod/iPhone/iPad, I strongly suggest you get it. Btw, my username is tenibun on there. xD
The next group I have is Wallpapers, and that's not too interesting; it's just if I'm in the mood for a different home screen bg so I can look there. The group beside that is Games, and I don't have too many. xD The reason why is that I just don't have time to play as many games anymore. Especially since one of my hobbies is watching anime/reading manga. That already takes up my free time. I used to have a lot of app games but I decided it would be best to clear them out.
The next row of folders I have are Shops, Utilities, Entertainment, and Languages. I absolutely LOVE amazon and ebay, and am a bit of a shopping addict. I bought a lot of cheap books off of ebay recently, including some pricy stuff like the Legend boxset and The Game of Thrones boxset(1-5). Utilities just includes stuff like Google Translate, Dictionary.com, a microphone app, etc. Entertainment; I haven't really had the chance to re-name it but a more fitting name would be Anime/Manga Stuff. I have the Crunchyroll app, two manga reading apps; Manga and MangaStorm, and finally an app that doesn't fit in, PPTV (it's a chinese tv app basically). Then, my Languages folder is, obviously, full of my language apps. I'm not currently trying to pursue my dream of learning multiple languages (right now, I'm trying hard to be fluent in Chinese and I'm Chinese which is a total fail.) But someday, I will know...at least five languages. That should go on my bucket list. Yes. I don't know why, I just have a huge interest in languages.
My last folders are Board Games, Reading, Education, Sports, and my misc apps, CNN, BePositive (daily positive quotes), and Lumosity. I can't be sure that Lumosity actually works in improving your brain, but the games are sure fun to play! I haven't actually used it in a while...I should probably get back to that.
I recommend BePositve if you are a person that likes quotes (like me!) or you just need some uplifting everyday.
I have some board games apps (a combination of chess and go apps) because, if you read my post that described my bucket list (the post below this one), you would have seen that I really want to learn how to play chess and go. AND I WILL. YES. I AM DETERMINED.
Reading just comprises of SafariBooksOnline, which I'll probably delete because I don't even use it anymore, and iBooks. Next is Education, in which I thought it would be a good idea to use my iPad mini for the original purpose I bought it for. Yes, I convinced my parents to buy a "Like New" iPad mini for "educational" purposes. Education. Yes, that's totally what I'm going to use it for.
And finally, Sports because I wanted to watch the World Cup this year so I got two apps to keep track of what was going on. Unfortunately, I don't have cable so I can't watch the final rounds that are happening right now. :( But I did have a good time watching the group matches. I don't know why the World Cup isn't more popular in the U.S. Soccer is freaking awesome. Way better than football. Or should I say "football" and "American football". Football is such a better name though. It's more literal. While most people don't know what the meaning of "soccer" is.
Whew! That was a really long description of what was on my ipad mini. I hope everyone who reads this enjoys this post in some way. ^^
I'll most likely post my We Were Liars review tomorrow. If I wait any longer, I'll forget about what happened in the book haha.
I hope you have a great day! And I wish anyone who has a birthday today, happy birthday! Because it's always nice to wish someone a happy birthday even if you don't know them. Appreciate yo' mothers, 'kay?
